During 1994 I began to be troubled by a stabbing pain in the fleshy part, just above my left kneecap. As I walked along, a severe jab of pain would cause me to shout, and I had to stop for a few seconds and massage my knee. I began to lose a bit of confidence, because even when walking o.k. I was subconsciously expecting the pain to strike with every step. I thought that if I go to the doctor he will only prescribe pain killers which would not remedy the situation.

It was at that time, a woman from my parish told me about an Australian healer-preacher who was coming to Our Lady's Church, Tile Cross, a couple of miles away. She said she would like to go out of curiosity but was nervous about going on her own, and would I accompany her; I said I would. I've been to many Pentecostal type healing services over the years, mainly to hear the Word, and I was always skeptical about claims of healing and the falling effect caused by the laying on of hands. Anyway, I found myself at Flame's first meeting at Tile Cross and really enjoyed Eddie's talk. As I had not gone there for a healing, but just to accompany the woman, I expected no more from the evening.

After his preaching, Eddie suddenly raised his hands and said "There's somebody here who is suffering from a kneecap problem, and the Lord wants to heal them." I was in the front row, and in amazement I shouted "It's me!". Eddie then said, "Believe the Lord is healing you now, it's a bit of gristle that's floating about in your knee, and He wants to heal you." As he spoke, the effected part of my knee began to tighten up as though some invisible masseur was working on it.

What a diagnosis from the Lord via Eddie; a kneecap, not a major thing like a painful back, but the Lord knew about the minor pain of a kneecap, and had shown me, a skeptic, that He cares. Well I came out of that church hall on cloud nine, exhilarated to think the Lord had brought me to Eddie via the curious woman because He wanted to heal 'me.' As I am long term unemployed, and cannot afford a car, I depend on 'Shanks Pony' ie; legs, to get about so the healing took a big load off my mind. Thank you Lord and Flame.
